The short hooked horns of the Chamois are one of its most distinct features. They measure 20-28 cm and sprout from their forehead growing backwards, and curving under at the ends. The Anatolian Chamois is unique to Turkey alone. They are found in the northeast part of the country and small pockets of mountains in the eastern provinces. In these areas Anatolian chamois live in healthy numbers and offer very good sport for those who are interested. Best time is the month of November, when the chamois indulge itself in mating.
